Senior Application Engineer

About the job

We are looking for a senior application engineer to join our workforce. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of power semiconductor devices, applications, and systems. They will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, driving the integration of our semiconductor products into customer applications, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of our solutions. They will be working on a novel technology, within a team with hands-on experience in the power electronics, integrated-circuit design, and semiconductor process fabrication areas. They will contribute to the development of our business and presence through their technical background, communication skills, and market requirements understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Pre- and post-sales technical support and product training for existing and new customers
  • Design and produce evaluation kits, application boards, and demo setups for our solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concept evaluations for new applications
  • Develop technical literature for our products (product briefs, datasheets, and application notes)
  • Identify key customers, major competitors and main specifications for different applications
  • Conduct periodical competitive analyses and identify product positioning
  • Gather and report market feedback and application needs and modifications to the R&D team
  • Take part in product development and testing of our power converter solutions
  • Participate in regional fairs and trade shows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master's degree is preferred)
  • 5+ years of of experience in application engineering, technical support, or a related role in the semiconductor industry
  • Proven experience with power semiconductor devices, circuits, and systems
  • Good understanding of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit design
  • Experience with the design and implementation of power supplies
  • Experience with PCB design, assembly, and experimental validation
  • Experience with prototyping, testing and rework of electronics
  • Experience with mechanical design tools, e.g. Solidworks, is a plus
  • Experience with technical writing and documentation
  • Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
